A lot of things people tell you about “trusting your gut” no longer really work when you have PTSD (or probably lots of other things…PTSD is just the one I have experience with).  Like…there are days where I’m constantly 100% convinced I’m about to be attacked and it’s exhausting and not actually related to anything going on outside my head.

I used to be p good at trusting myself and I was right a lot of the time now I just have to tell myself to shut up or I'll just keep checking and checking or I use my dog he's smart ptsd tag
